A conversation with mountaineer Massimo Rossetto, former firefighter in Valbruna, today the President of Friuli mandi Nepal namaste. The organization connects mountainous communities in Italy and Nepal.
Twenty years ago, Massimo Rossetto, on a mountaineering adventure stumbled on a small school in Kathmandu, Nepal. Making good on a promise to help, today, he has supported hundreds of young people and their families.
The communities in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy and Kathmandu, Nepal are connected by the act of this one person and together realized schools for hundreds of children — half of them girls —, three orphan house for 80 children, and 3 homes for disabled children. A few girls who started elementary school then have become teachers in the schools.
