Yes, the mobility challenge is beyond complex. Here are a few issues:
Technical: data volume, network reliability, protocol differences
Security: attack surfaces, OTA safety, encryption management
Privacy: consent, tracking, ownership
Regulatory: GDPR, UNECE, Data Act compliance, EU AI Act
Business: monetization versus trust in data-sharing ecosystems, transition to e-mobility and autonomous vehicles.
Guess what, we can tackle all of these challenges by stacking proven tech solutions and partnering across sectors and industries. At its core, the one overarching challenge: we need more people willing to move beyond the tried (but no longer true) approaches to convening, collaborating, and accelerating, with new technologies (Made in Germany!) 😁
This is what DatArt set out to accomplish: gathering minds in mobility interested in how we can drive forward together.
Thank you for inviting me to be part of it, contributing an industry use case for public transportation (now considered critical infrastructure) that very well can be used to benefit other mobility players. We have managed to realize so much just with the willingness of a few bold and bright people who have moved beyond the status quo.
