UniversalGiving And Trekking For Kids’ Strategic Partnership Bridged By impactmania
Online Publication Connects Socially-Minded Organizations

SANTA BARBARA, August 10, 2016

After presenting both nonprofits on its online platform, impactmania forges a connection between UniversalGiving and Trekking For Kids, promoting a stronger network between socially-minded organizations.

Paksy Plackis-Cheng, founder and CEO of impactmania, profiled Pamela Hawley, founder and CEO of UniversalGiving, for its San Francisco issue in March. A website that allows people to donate and volunteer with top-performing organizations from all over the world, UniversalGiving innovates and facilitates the way in which volunteer hours and donations are disbursed to vetted nonprofits and social causes.

After featuring José Montero, co-founder and CEO of Trekking for Kids (TFK), a nonprofit that organizes purpose-driven treks for socially-conscious hikers, for its Washington D.C. issue in May, impactmania’s Paksy Plackis-Cheng saw a natural fit between TFK and UniversalGiving and coordinated their collaboration, resulting in a strategic relationship between both nonprofits.

“It’s one thing to come across a referral, it’s another thing to come across one that’s been recommended by someone who is respected,” states UniversalGiving’s Pamela Hawley about impactmania’s role within the collaboration.

UniversalGiving hopes to be an integral part of TFK’s growth and scale by driving traffic and volunteers to its programs while José Montero from TFK is destined to “bring even more positive impact to orphaned and at-risk children around the world in a way that strengthens both respective missions.”

Having launched only six months ago, impactmania has realized many connections between social-minded organizations such as this one, demonstrating the importance of building a community of networks within different impact makers in order to further and deepen social, cultural and economic progress and impact.
